Ten learners recently received special awards at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University for Outstanding Performance in the Eastern Cape Mathematics Olympiad.

Six of these learners are from one school: Laerskool Wesbank in Oudtshoorn.

The Headmaster, Mr. Alewyn Hanekom attributes the success of these learners to the regular usage of the CAMI Maths software in their computer centre. The same CAMI software is used extensively throughout the Western Cape schools, where it forms part of the Khanya project.
